Holy Highway, Sacred Road

“And a main road will go through that once-deserted land; it will be named "The Holy Highway." No evil-hearted men may walk upon it. God will walk there with you; “(Isa 35:8 TLB)

The Word of God is our Holy Highway, our Sacred Road.  We can’t get lost when we travel this Road.  We can’t be separated from God, for He is walking with us on this road.

Don’t Turn to the Right or the Left

do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go.”  (Josh 1:7  New American Standard)

As we journey on the Sacred Road we will learn everything we need from Creator Father to be prosperous and successful.  We will learn everything we need to have the victory in our lives and over our enemies.  He teaches us how to win the battles.

They defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony; for they did not love their lives but laid them down for him.”  (Rev 12:11 TLB)

The Blood of the Lamb

When we confess our sins, we are assured that God will forgive us, because of the blood and flesh sacrifice of Jesus.   He was pierced for our sins.  No enemy can accuse us or defeat us as long as we daily put our sins under the blood of the Lamb.

Our Testimony

The Sacred Road reveals all of our Father’s promises to us.  When we go to the Word of God, believing that what He says is Truth, we can boldly claim His promises and defeat the accuser.  When we don’t know the Word of God, His promises, strength, and power, we are defeated by our enemy.

The Sacred Road says we can have prosperity and success in our lives.  This doesn’t mean that we live so that we have 3 cars in the garage and a 6 bedroom mansion.  We are to travel light on this Holy Highway.  His word says that we will have what we need.  It says we should proclaim the Good News of the flesh and blood sacrifice of Jesus to all that we meet.  This is our bold testimony.  It says we can see the lame walk, the deaf hear, and the captives set free.  That is the success we seek.  And it says so much more—but we must walk this Road to learn it all.  We must read God’s Word and ask His Great Spirit to teach us the meaning of His word so we can stand firm on His promises and overcome.

Our Lives

The way of the Sacred Road is to be willing to lay our lives down for our Creator Father.  This means loving our Creator as Jesus loved Him.  Jesus did not love His life and all that He could accomplish in it more than He loved serving Creator Father.  Whatever God asked Jesus to do, He did.  Nothing else in Jesus’ life took a place higher than this.  This is our example.  To be willing to lay down our plans for our lives and take up His.  Then we will know all the fullness of the life that He has for us.  Then we will defeat our enemies.

This is how we overcome:

By the blood of the Lamb, Jesus

            By our Testimony

            By laying our lives down

And there is so much more to learn as we travel on the Road.

Take  my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”  (Matt 11:29 NIV)

And that’s a Promise!
